ABOUT ICAI-UK

The UK Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI UK) was established in 2001 on June 8 to give a boost to the role played by Indian chartered accountants in the UK. On 1st Dec 2016 UK Chapter Limited was incorporated in England and Wales as a company limited by guarantee under registration number 10506306 to enhance the operational transparency.

Over the years the ICAI, UK has grown from strength to strength and now has a membership of over 650 members and is now the largest organized professional body of Indians in UK.

The members of the ICAI, UK are spread over industry, audit and consulting organizations in UK. Many government, quasi-government, public and private organizations who employ our members place great reliance on their high level of professional competence and their contribution to the decision making process.

The ICAI, UK also undertakes the responsibility of co-coordinating with ICAI, the various professional bodies in UK and Europe, the chapters of other professional bodies established in UK and embassy of India in UK to promote the accounting profession in general and Indian accounting profession in particular.

The ICAI, UK continually holds seminars and events such that our members can enhance their technical skills, personal and professional development and obtain their required CPE credits.

- To assist our parent body to fulfill its functions and obligations in respect of its members in UK.
- To provide value-added programs to members through which they can obtain their required Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours.
- To provide information to our members to understand the changes in the Economy/Business Environment, business and organization structures, developments in Information Technology and Telecommunication, new Government policies, globalization of business and competitive pressures as well as changes in accounting standards.
- To provide a forum to share professional expertise among us.
- To be the preferred body for advice in matters regarding the Accounting profession in UK.
- To provide our members professional and placement opportunities in UK or any other place in the world:
- To promote holistic development of members including professional and communication skills, community service and personality development.
