On Saturday 18th November UK Chapter ICAI in association with Assets India UK and News 18 has organised a panel discussion on:
1. Is Indian real estate a good bet post RERA & GST for NRIs
2. Are India's property market is likely to gather speed with accelerating economic growth Event was well attended by more than 50 members.

Any Other accomplishment / Initiative which the chapter wishes to Highlight After discussion with Vice President ICAI Mr Gupta during ICAI International Conference in Mumbai last year in Dec. initiatives have been taken to bring Indian companies based in UK to enroll ICAI students for Industrial training. Discussions with few companies are on-going and are at the initial stages. Arrangement of working visa has emerged as a problem, but further discussion with ICAI India required on the support Institute can provide to liaise with UK Embassy in India.

On Monday 9th October, on behalf of UK Chapter ICAI, Chairman Mr Ajay Kumar Agrawal participated in a ZEE TV UK debate on "IS UK Tax System Unjust". The debate was live telecasted by ZEE TV UK on their show “Zee Companion”. The video recording of the show is available on you tube.

From 15th Sep to 17th Sep, UK Chapter in association of various other local communities have organised a Sangeetmay Bhagwat at Swaminarayan temple, Neasden. The event was well attended by more than 1500 people including our members at large.

On Monday 22nd May 2017, Members of UK Chapter, ICAI welcomed President ICAI Mr Nilesh Vikamsay and Director, ICAI Mr Rakesh Sehgal during a event organised by Chartered Accountants Worldwide at ICAEW.

The event was well attended by over 30 members of the Chapter.

The event was covered by Chartered Accountants Journal published by ICAI, India

On Saturday 25th March 2017 UK Chapter, ICAI organised Holi celebration and dinner for the Chapter's members and their family at Park Grand Hotel. The event was attended by more than 45 families.

The entertainment for the evening was presented by Sanskruti and Sur Bharti.

Guest of honour for the event were Mr. Virendra Sharma, MP Southall, Mayor of Hounslow Councillor Ajmer Grewal and Councillor Pritam Grewal from Hounslow Central.

The event was well covered by Asian Lite newspaper.

On Wednesday 15th March 2017 UK Chapter ICAI has organised a evening to discuss the topics

- Demonetisation
- Interim Budget
- Indian Property Investment Advisory

The event was well attended by more than 35 members.

Guest of Honour for the evening was Mr Ranjeet Shetty, Head of HDFC UK

On Saturday 28th January 2017 UK Chapter, ICAI has organised a business networking dinner for the members of the Chapter. Dinner was attended by more than 50 members of the Chapter.

Guest of Honour for the evening was Mr Rajesh Agrawal, Deputy Mayor of London for Business and MP Bob Blackman, Member of Parliament from Stanmore East.

The event was covered within the new paper Asian Voice; the newspaper has largest circulation amongst Indian diaspora in UK.

Activity Report 2012

Recognising its responsibility to the stakeholders in general and ICAI members in particular, The UK (London) Chapter of the ICAI organised various events and seminar for knowledge sharing and interfacing with some thought leaders in the field of accounting, finance & business. Participants provided feedback that they not only had the occasion to professionally upgrade but also had good networking opportunities with various segments of accounting fraternity.

On 22 February 2012, ICAEW and ICAI UK Chapter organised a joint seminar to discuss the current hot topics including anti-money laundering and the new UK Bribery Act, UK. It was attended in large numbers by both ICAI members and ICAEW members.

The Association fo Corporate Treasuries (ACT) had its Annual Conference in Liverpool on 16-18 April 2012. ICAI UK Chapter members were invited for the event and was attended in large numbers by them. The members found the event very informative.

The Chapter in Association with CIMA organised a seminar at Council Chambers on Wednesday 25 April 2012. The seminar outlined how an ICAI member can join CIMA and the benefits of CIMA membership. The seminar included speeches on accelerated route to CIMA and a Q&A session and networking. The members found the event very infomative and fot opportunity to get clarification on verious aspects of the CIMA research programme.

On 11 June 2012, ICAI UK Chapter and BDO LLP organised a joint seminar to discuss the current hot topics. It was attended in large numbers by both ICAI members and BDO employees.

At the Seminar Entitled -

The roadmap, opportunities and challenges.

The Speacker, Prabhakar Kalavacherla (PK), Delivered an engaging and insightful presentation which was well received by the large attendance from both institutes.

The British CPA Society of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland (CPA), in collaboration with the UK (London) Chapter ICAI, co-hosted the seminar in the Radisson Blue Edwardian, Kenilworth Hotel, London on the evening of Thursday 27 September 2012. This event formally launched the collaboration in the UK between CPA Ireland and ICA India which is afforded by the mutual recognition agreement that is in place between both Institutes.

ICAI UK Chapter was involved in promoting Kathak dance performed by one of its member Deepa Menon at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan on 7 July 2012.
